Joe is a PGA Fellow whose background and expertise is in facility management. Spending more than a decade as a General Manager, he has gained extensive experience across all areas of the golf industry and before joining The PGA had been instrumental in strategic planning for Birmingham City Council and Mytime Active Golf. Joe completed The PGA’s Director of Golf qualification in 2012 and now works on the delivery of this qualification as well as the delivery of the ASQ Level 5 Golf Club Management Qualification. He also supports the delivery of training seminars for GCMA, CMAE as well as working very closely with national governing bodies across the UK and Ireland.

Many articles Joe has written about the golf industry have been published and he has presented on many elements of the business, to a variety of industry audiences. Joe’s current role with the PGA is to offer support to its Members across a wide range of disciplines.

His role also extends to supporting clubs and employers of PGA Professionals around the recruitment of PGA members to fill various roles within the golf industry. In the past two years Joe has worked with many clubs to help establish the right levels of remuneration and retainer and to develop the working relationships, contracts, roles and responsibilities and agreements between those parties.
