The European Club Education Foundation has awarded its annual Ethnically Diverse Managers Bursary for the 2024/25 season. The bursaries, funded by The R&A, allow applicants to participate in the CMAE Management Development Programme, which is widely recognised as the leading educational programme for prospective club managers.
The successful recipients were Tiago Mendes from Oitavos Dunes Links Golf in Portugal and Amr Nagy from Gezira Sporting Club in Cairo, Egypt.
Amr Nagy said “It’s an incredible honour to be selected for this programme. Golf has been a huge part of my life growing up, and I hope I can make the best of this opportunity”.
Tiago Mendes commented “I’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone that has given me this fabulous opportunity to pursue my dream of making a career in the golf industry. I believe that the skills acquired with the CMAE will allow me to help, guide and encourage my colleagues in the future, passing them the knowledges given to me on this course.”
