The Club Management Association of Europe (CMAE) celebrated the achievements of Bournemouth University students at the annual awards ceremony held on 6th November 2024. The prestigious CMAE Bournemouth University Top Student Award was presented to three exceptional individuals for their academic excellence having gained the highest average in their chosen subjects.
Lauren Jones (Sport Coaching) and Adam Lark (Sport Management) were the undergraduate winners and Edward McKenzie (MSc Sport Management) was the postgraduate winner.
The awards underline CMAE’s commitment to supporting and encouraging future industry leaders.
Rhys Beecher CCM, Director of Golf at The Royal Automobile Club, a CMAE Education Policy Committee member and Bournemouth University alumnus, attended the ceremony to present the awards. Speaking at the event, Beecher remarked: “The student awards evening was truly inspiring, showcasing the passion and potential of our future industry leaders. It’s heartening to witness such enthusiasm for sport and hospitality within the business school at Bournemouth University. As a proud alumnus, I felt honoured to celebrate their achievements.”
The CMAE has a long-standing relationship with Bournemouth University, recognising it as a centre of excellence for nurturing talent within the sport and hospitality industries.
