16 Swedish club industry professionals gathered at the Swedish House of Sport in Stockholm to enjoy two days of networking, workshops and lectures from a selection of educators from the CMAE’s Management Development Programme, including David Roy CCM on ‘Working with your green staff’ and ‘Facilities Maintenance’, Bill Sanderson on ‘Leadership and Change Management and ‘How to make changes successful in a club environment’, and Teodor Denchev from Toro on ‘Club necessities for machinery – now and the future’.

The event was the second of a number of regional taster sessions CMAE are organising across Europe aimed at providing an insight into what managers can learn on the Management Development Programme and how they can help them take their clubs and careers forward.
Commenting on the event Torbjorn Johansson, Director of Education at CMAE said “I was very happy to see the enthusiasm from our delegates at our taster event in Stockholm. CMAE are committed to making the MDP accessible across Europe and are excited to be hosting our MDP 3 Strategy & Leadership course in Sweden next January”
Anna Tidén, Managing Director, GAF (Golf Club Management Association Sweden) also said “GAF Sweden was highly involved in the MDP Taster event in Stockholm. It gave a good view of the MDP programme and how the education is carried out with lecturing, mini workshops, and the possibility to exchange experiences and ideas among the delegates. I’m sure that several Swedish Golf Club Managers could learn a lot from CMAE’s events and education program”.
The next MDP taster event will be in Amsterdam on 5th June, in collaboration with the European Golf Course Owners Association.
