GEO Foundation ran a recent project to bring people and perspectives together from across the golfing community
GEO Foundation ran a recent project to bring people and perspectives together from across the golfing community to:
- Gain new insights into the current position and likely approaches to recovery
- Explore and share ideas and innovation going forward – particularly on retaining efficiencies and cost savings, engaging communities and promoting golf’s value
- Consider the significance of sustainability in the sport’s future
- Inform the next phase of the non-profit support and recognition programmes and services.
The poll gathered the opinions of club and course managers, facility owners, association leaders and many others working in the golf industry.
Responses were received from industry professionals in 19 countries across 5 continents with a number of the findings below discussed in a subsequent online conversation. This included guest speakers from the Dutch Golf Federation, Burhill Group and Performance54 – a specialist golf marketing and consultancy group.
