Sarah Malone to speak at the European Conference on Club Management

CMAE are pleased to announce that Sarah Malone, Executive Vice President of Trump International Scotland, will join the speaker programme at the European Conference on Club Management, delivering a compelling session titled “Trials to Triumph.”

Taking place from 25–28 October 2026 in St Andrews, Scotland, the conference will bring together general managers, club executives, and industry leaders from across Europe, the Middle East, and beyond for one of the most influential gatherings in the club management calendar.

In this session, Sarah will share insights from her 17-year journey leading one of the most significant golf developments in modern times, transforming a windswept stretch of arable links land into a multi-award-winning, world-class golf destination. Delegates will gain a rare and personal perspective on what it takes to deliver a bold vision in the Home of Golf, navigating complexity and long-term development challenges.

Sarah Malone has spent over 25 years spearheading the design, development, and delivery of international events and major capital projects across the sectors of culture, sport, and tourism. Appointed by President Donald J. Trump in 2009 to lead his first European investment, she has overseen both construction and operations, as well as the long-term, multi-phase leisure and real estate development of the business, and played a central role in establishing the resort as one of the world’s leading golf destinations.

In 2025, she launched The Greatest 36, hosted back-to-back televised tournaments, and secured three global awards recognising the organisation’s contribution to the sport, including the prestigious World’s Best Golf Course title at the World Golf Awards.

In 2026, Malone was also recognised for her outstanding regional contribution by the Aberdeen & Grampian Chamber of Commerce.

Commenting is CMAE’s CEO Torbjorn Johansson, who said “Sarah’s experience leading a high-profile, large-scale development project offers invaluable insight for club leaders. Her story of resilience, vision, and execution will resonate strongly with our delegates. We look forward to welcoming Sarah to the stage at the European Conference.”

The European Conference on Club Management 2026 continues to build a dynamic programme of speakers, offering insight across leadership, innovation, operations, and strategic development within the club industry.
