Rest of the World take home first ever CMAE Presidents Cup

The inaugural Presidents Cup match took place at Royal Porthcawl on Thursday 20th October.

The inaugural CMAE Presidents Cup match took place at Royal Porthcawl on Thursday 20th October.

The first match saw 16 CMAE members and corporate partners take part in an England versus the Rest of the World in a game where the rest of the World Team, led by Royal Porthcawl’s Secretary Michael Newland, prevailed 2.5 to 1.5. 

The day was hosted and scored by Golf Genius who were on hand to run the day and used their tournament management system to manage the event.

Marc Newey CCM, CMAE’s President and the England non-playing Captain due to a hand injury, was there to present the trophy to Michael Newland and the Rest of the World team. 

Marc said of the event “this is new addition to CMAE’s calendar and a great compliment to all the education we do. The match was great fun and it was important to have our members meet our corporate partners. It will become a regular fixture for CMAE, our thanks go our to Royal Porthcawl for being excellent hosts and to our corporate partner Golf Genius who provided the tournament administration service with their excellent soft ware”
