John Bull Announced as Speaker at European Conference on Club Management 2026

CMAE are pleased to announce that performance psychologist John Bull will join the speaker programme at the European Conference on Club Management, delivering a session titled “Improving Our Culture Leadership.”

Taking place from 25–28 October 2026 in St Andrews, Scotland, the conference will bring together general managers, club executives, and industry leaders from across Europe, the Middle East, and beyond for one of the most influential gatherings in the club management calendar.

Culture is widely recognised as a core pillar of organisational strategy — and within clubs, it may be the most critical. In his session, John will challenge leaders to move beyond simply talking about culture and instead focus on how to intentionally shape and lead it.

Drawing on extensive research conducted by Management Futures into successful cultural transformations, John will introduce the seven levers of effective culture leadership. The session will begin by guiding delegates through a practical mapping exercise to identify the key influences shaping culture within their own clubs.

From there, the session will examine each of the seven levers in detail, highlighting practical actions leaders can take to drive quick, positive cultural impact.

John Bull is Director of High Performance at Management Futures, specialising in team performance, leadership, and organisational culture. His work focuses on helping leaders and teams perform at their best in high-pressure environments.

He works with a diverse range of high-profile organisations including UK Sport, The Football Association, Sport Wales, National Health Service, Nissan, and Gymshark, among others. He also contributes to the CMAE BMI Programme delivering sessions on high-performance leadership.

Commenting on the announcement, CMAE CEO Torbjorn Johansson said

“We have been working with John Bull for a long time. He is an amazing presenter on our Strategy & Leadership week, next time in Berlin in January. Here we get to see him talking about culture and with a practical test for all interested in it. I am excited already to listen to John talk about a subject very close to both our hearts.

In the last session of the Conference, before the Gala Dinner and the 25-year celebration for CMAE, John will be the person tying it all together with the connection to our MDP/BMI programs. We are grateful to have John come to our conference and for more people to get to see him in action..”

Registration for the conference is now open.
