The Club Managers Association of Europe (CMAE) has announced that Jerry Kilby CCM, Chief Executive Officer since 2007, is leaving his post at the end of January 2014 to pursue new opportunities in the golf and club management sector as full-time proprietor of Kanda Golf Marketing Services.

CMAE has delivered over the last two years a comprehensive package of management courses for City, Country and Sports Club Managers across Europe. Its Management Development Programme (MDP) leads the way in executive education and both MDP Level 1 and 2 are being taught in France, Spain, Scotland and England with courses in Sweden, Ireland and Italy planned for 2014.

As a result of the above CMAE is now looking to recruit next year a Director of Education to deliver the courses and lead the Association in its aim to create a clear pathway for all Club Managers to achieve the coveted CCM qualification, certified by CMAA (Club Managers Association of America) which is seen worldwide by the industry as the benchmark qualification for all leading Club managers.

Arnaldo Cocuzza CCM, President of CMAE, said: “We sincerely thank Jerry for all his sterling efforts over the last 7 years as CEO and wish him well for the future. As a fellow CCM I am sure he will remain an active member of CMAE and fully support our development as the leading educational body for the management profession.”

Jerry Kilby CCM commented: “I have enjoyed being a part of the phenomenal growth of the CMAE over the past seven years and am immensely proud of my contribution to the development and delivery of the CMAE’s Management Development Programme and the Certified Club Manager certification programme for European club managers. When I started as the CMAE’s CEO in April 2007, it was only a dream of a small number of visionary club managers to see the educational programmes that are in place today. I thank everyone at the CMAE for their help and support in the past and I wish them every success in the future”.
