Deben Yacht Club, England has established a ‘Youth Development Fund’ to help club members who wish to compete in open or national events.
Deben Yacht Club, England has established a ‘Youth Development Fund’ to help club members who wish to compete in open or national events. The aim of this fund is to further develop and support “Junior, Youth and U18” sailors and encourage sailing to a higher level, whilst raising the profile of the club at the same time.
The maximum funding an applicant receives is £200, which helps the applicant travel and enter competitions.
How will the application be decided?
Applications will be considered by three non-related members of the General Committee, who will endeavour to give a decision within one month.
Success & Review
The CMAE will be reviewing the success of this programme at the end of the sailing season where we hope to see an increase in membership at the club due to this scheme.
