Huddersfield Golf Club in Yorkshire has appointed CMAE member Chris Duffy CMDip as its new General Manager.
Chris recently relocated to Girona, Spain after 12 years in Doha, Qatar. He previously worked as Event Staging Manager at the European Tour Qatar Masters and Head of Golf Operations at Doha Golf Club. In 2008, he established Oryx Events, a leading Event Management Agency working on many leading Qatar sports events including, Qatar MotoGP, Qatar Tennis Championships and the successful bid for the Qatar World Cup 2022.

Chris has been an active member of CMAE for many years having completed all 5 of the CMAE Management Development Programmes and participated in the CMAE European Conference and the CMAA World Conference.
Chris will take up his role at Huddersfield Golf Club in January 2019.
Commenting on his appointment Chris said “I’m thrilled that Huddersfield Golf Club have given me the opportunity to return to the Club Management arena, allowing me to utilise the fantastic education from the CMAE MDP program. Without completing the MDP program and the continued support of the educators and club management peers after each program I don’t think I would now have this exceptional opportunity.”
