The Club Managers Association of Europe are pleased to be able to bring delegates another packed conference programme, with 12 sessions covering club management topics over two days.
The Portuguese Padel Federation will talk about their trip and destination together with the development of the sport. Whilst we can see padel courts being built all over Europe and Middle East, they will discuss what got it started, what will the future hold and is Padel the new tennis.
Joe Oswald from Jonas Club Software will present on Business intelligence for optimal Club operation. This is a deep dive into how club managers are managing metrics and using data as their ally for everything from daily operating decisions to weekly and monthly performance monitoring, to annual budgeting. Tech savvy club leaders are already using analytics to predict future outcomes and make better business decisions.

Putting the ‘fun’ into Health & Safety, Steuart Fortheringham from Xact will present on Your Work Destination. Starting from yourself, not from a career standpoint but from a HR/Health & Safety perspective – Stuart will get delegates thinking about whether are you doing the best you can do for you and for your club and where will the trends take the restraints and demands of the Manager of tomorrow.
A returning face from last year’s conference will see Gstaad Yacht Club’s Cindy Schoenrich present on Sustainability – how it is affecting your club and what steps should you be taking.
Other speakers already announced include the R&A’s Martin Slumbers, Justin Hughes of Mission Excellence and Golf Environment Organisation’s John Kemp.
Commenting on the conference programme Torbjörn “Toby” Johansson, Director of Education of CMAE said “We want to create an environment where presenters come to our event and is given a challenge, not only to reproduce what they said at another conference last week – but to actually be there to help form something which gives us a red thread through all three days.”
Other activities during the CMAE European Conference on Club Management includes the CMAE’s annual Presidents Cup golf day and drinks and dinner receptions near the yacht club.
