CMAE member Stuart Finlay has secured his first role in club management taking up the position of Club Manager at Radyr Golf Club.

Stuart has worked in the sports industry for over 10 years both at local authority and national level. The last 7 years of his career have been at Wales Golf, the Governing Body for Golf in Wales. Stuart’s role as Club Development Officer was to support clubs in a variety of areas including marketing, revenue generation, green fees, membership, customer service and understanding your customer. Stuart’s role also included working with clubs to introduce more people in to the game through the Wales Golf New2Golf scheme.
Stuart has been an active member of CMAE and the Management Development Programme, having completed MDP’s part 1,2 and Golf Management and gaining his Club Management Diploma just last year.
Commenting on his appointment Stuart said “Radyr Golf Club is a golf course in north-western part of Cardiff, Wales. It is one of the oldest existing golf clubs in Cardiff, established in September 1902. I am very proud and excited to be given the opportunity to manage such a prestigious club and look forward to putting in to practise the education from CMAE combined with my experience at club level with Wales Golf”.
