Europe’s F&B Landscape Revealed: New Benchmarking Insights to Debut at CMAE European Conference

Club management professionals attending the CMAE European Conference on Club Management this October will be among the first to explore the findings of Europe’s first dedicated Club Food & Beverage Benchmarking Survey, presented by Club Benchmarking EMEA.

Taking place in St Andrews from 25–28 October 2026, the European Conference will bring together club leaders and industry professionals from more than 20 countries for four days of education, insight, networking and collaboration. The F&B benchmarking session will provide delegates with a new perspective on one of the most important and complex areas of club operations.

Delivered by James Burns CCM and John McCormack CCM at Club Benchmarking EMEA, the session will reveal findings from the first pan-European benchmarking study focused specifically on club food and beverage operations.

The research provides a valuable opportunity for clubs to understand how their F&B operations compare with peers across Europe, with insights designed to support more informed decision-making around budgeting and financial planning, service models, operational performance and board reporting.

Torbjörn Johansson, CEO of CMAE, said:

“Good club management is built on informed decision-making, and having meaningful data to benchmark against our peers is an important part of that process. This research gives the European club community an opportunity to better understand F&B performance across the industry and, importantly, to turn those insights into practical conversations within their own clubs. We are delighted to bring the findings to the European Conference in St Andrews.”

As a Headline Partner for the 2026 European Conference, Club Benchmarking EMEA will play a key role in the educational programme, reflecting the organisations’ shared commitment to data-driven insight and professional development across the club industry.
