England Golf & GCMA to partner Club Managers Association of Europe

CMAE to receive the support of England Golf for Management Development Programme

The Club Managers Association of Europe (http://www.cmaeurope.org) has announced that they have agreed a partnership with England Golf and GCMA to promote their Level One and Level Two Club Management Development Programme.
These two five day residential courses cover all the ten core competencies of Club Management which Club Members now expect their Managers to have and develop.

Marc Newey, Vice President of CMAE commented: “CMAE is delighted to have the support of England Golf and GCMA to promote our Club Management CPD pathway. Our Club Management Diploma is now set to become the club management qualification of choice in 2015 and to have the support of the national governing body for golf in England is something the CMAE are very proud of.”

The partnership will mean that England Golf, GCMA and CMAE will work together for the first time to promote education for Club Managers in England; a sign that there is a very positive future ahead as the Club industry has been crying out for a joined up approach in providing a professional CPD programme for existing and potential Managers.

England Golf and GCMA will be promoting this exciting development to all their members in the very near future.

The collaboration has received support from the United Kingdom Golf Course Owners Association (UKGCOA), which will see representatives from the CMAE speaking at UKGCOA regional meetings. UKGCOA will also provide a recommendation to their clients to enrol their staff on the Management Development Programmes.

Andy Lloyd-Skinner, Chief Executive of the UKGCOA said “The CMAE partnering with GCMA and England Golf to provide the very best education solution available for Club Manager’s is fantastic news for the club industry. We are delighted to support their joint efforts, and I will personally be recommending to all of my clients that their staff should attend the Management Development Programmes to gain their diplomas.”

The first Management Development Level One course will be held at Warwick University from November 10th-14th, with a second to be held from March 9th-13th 2015.

The next Management Development Level Two course will be held at Bournemouth University from November 3rd-7th with another course planned for March 2015.
