ECEF Raises More Than £3,500 at CMAE European Conference 25th Anniversary Gala Dinner

The European Club Education Foundation (ECEF) has raised more than £3,500 to support the future of club management education, following a fundraising raffle held during the CMAE European Conference 25th Anniversary Gala Dinner in St Andrews, Scotland.

The raffle took place during the special anniversary celebrations at the Old Course Hotel on Tuesday 27 October, bringing delegates together to mark 25 years of the Club Management Association of Europe (CMAE) while supporting the Foundation’s mission to invest in the next generation of club management professionals.

Delegates were invited to donate a minimum of £20 to ECEF to enter the raffle, with two exceptional prize packages generously donated for the occasion.

The first prize offered an unforgettable golf experience, including rounds at Sunningdale Golf Club and The Berkshire, alongside a two-night stay at The Caledonian Club, including dinner.

The second prize offered another superb golfing experience with rounds of golf at Luffness and Gullane, complemented by a £500 accommodation voucher, providing another fantastic opportunity to experience some of Scotland’s renowned golfing destinations.

The excitement built as the winners were selected using a digital wheel of names, adding a fun and memorable moment to the evening’s celebrations.

The raffle was sponsored by KKW, who generously contributed £500 directly to the fundraising total, helping ECEF exceed £3,500.

David Balden CCM, Chair of the European Club Education Foundation, said:

“We are absolutely delighted to have raised more than £3,500 for ECEF during such a special evening for the CMAE community. This support will help us continue our work investing in the future of club management through education and development opportunities.

“A huge thank you goes to KKW for sponsoring the raffle and generously contributing £500 to the funds. We are also incredibly grateful to everyone who donated such fantastic prizes, helping make the raffle so appealing to our delegates.

“Most importantly, thank you to every delegate who donated and took part. Your generosity makes a real difference and helps us support aspiring and developing club management professionals in building their careers. It was wonderful to see the CMAE family come together to support ECEF as part of the association’s 25th anniversary celebrations.”
