The CMAE has today announced that classroom learning will resume this winter with the Management Development Programme course specialising in Golf Management set to return to St Andrews.

The CMAE has today announced that classroom learning will resume this winter with the Management Development Programme course specialising in Golf Management set to return to St Andrews.

The five-day course will take place from the 29th November to the 3rd December and will feature a programme designed to enhance the delegates understanding of the cornerstones of a successful golf product at their clubs.

It will be hosted at Fairmont St Andrews, a 520 acre estate with a unique coastal setting and breath-taking surroundings of the “home of golf”, where delegates will also benefit from additional evening tours in this famous golfing town.

The MDP Golf will be the first residential MDP course to take place since the Covid-19 pandemic brought a halt to all classroom learning and in person events in March 2020.

Due to travelling restrictions and Covid-19 safety precautions, the event is being restricted to delegates traveling from within the UK only. At the same time as this is being announced, a new MDP Golf is also verified in early 2022 due to the incredible demand from international delegates. That MDP Golf will be open to international delegates and more details will be released shortly.

Commenting was Torbjorn Johansson, the CMAE Director of Education. “Whilst normality may still be some way off, this marks the start of a transition that many, including us at CMAE, have been waiting patiently for. We are delighted to finally be returning to the classroom again for our MDP Golf and where else could this training take place other than in the “Home of Golf” in St Andrews!”

“With the world as it is right now, the Board decided to only offer the first MDP to delegates with no international travel requirements. At the same time plan for a second MDP Golf because of the amount of delegates we have signed up”.

With this MDP being the first classroom course in over 18 months, 2022 is planned to offer all current MDPs in classroom + the new MDP Sport & Recreation that will take part in London in August 2022 for the first time ever.
