CMAE to launch CMAE Spain to drive education in region

The Club Management Association of Europe (CMAE) is proud to announce the launch of CMAE Spain, a regional arm dedicated to delivering world-class club management education throughout Spain. This initiative aims to bring the renowned Management Development Programme (MDP) to a broader audience, fostering professional growth and excellence within the club industry.

CMAE’s Management Development Programme (MDP) is a structured series of six educational courses designed to support club industry professionals at all levels, from staff members and supervisors to managers. The programme equips participants with critical knowledge and skills to enhance their performance, achieve professional goals, and advance their careers in club management.

“We are happy to see CMAE Spain started, as our region delivering world-class club management training in Spanish. We hope to see a great relationship in Spain with AEGG being the membership organisation for managers and CMAE Spain the association for training,” said Torbjörn Johansson, CEO of CMAE.

Daniel Asís CCM, President of CMAE Spain, added: “The creation of CMAE Spain and its alliance with CMAE is the natural continuation of the training efforts that club managers in Spain have been making since 2010. No other country in continental Europe has organised as many MDP courses or certified as many CMDip and CCM professionals as Spain. We are proud of this track record and confident that we will multiply opportunities for club professionals by joining forces with CMAE.”

Carlos de Linares, General Manager, PGA Oceans 4, Dominican Republic, also commented: “My career would not have been the same without the MDP courses and the CCM certification. CMAE not only provides education; it opens the doors to a bright future for managers looking to excel in the competitive global market. CMAE Spain will bring these opportunities closer to all of us working in sports and golf clubs across Spain.”

Fátima Muñoz, Operations Manager, The San Roque Club, Sotogrande, Cádiz, shared her experience: “CMAE has been a source of inspiration, effort, and guidance in what is a new career path for me. My goal remains to reach the top, making the most of the tools that have been made available to me. In just two years, I’ve connected with the most prominent people in the golf industry, strengthened my professional relationships, and brought my dream closer each day. The classes are highly valuable, but the events are incredibly motivating and have fuelled my ambition to go further.”
