The Club Management Association of Europe (CMAE) is proud to announce the appointment of Gavin Robinson CMDip, BSc. Hons, PGA Fellow as its new Operations Manager.
After an extensive recruitment process, led by global golf recruitment specialist KOPPLIN, KUEBLER & WALLACE, Gavin Robinson was identified as the preferred candidate for this newly created position.
Gavin brings a wealth of experience and expertise in the club industry, having dedicated 15 years working as both Director of Golf and Club Manager in Mexico, before returning to the UK to take up the post of Professional Development Manager at the Golf Club Managers Association and later on General Manager at Purley Downs Golf Club.
Commenting on the appointment was CMAE CEO Torbjorn Johansson, who expressed his delight at welcoming Gavin to the team. “I am thrilled to be able to grow the team at CMAE – and with such an experienced person as Gavin Robinson, CMDip. I have been fortunate to have had Gavin in the room on the MDP pathway – also to have him as a colleague during his time at GCMA. He is very professional, thorough and will complement the Team with his competencies in all areas of education and partnerships. This is the first time for us to have an Operations Manager and we are excited with where this will take us in the future”.
Gavin added “I am very excited to be joining the successful CMAE Team and looking forward to establishing the role of Operations Manager as an essential support function to all areas of the business which will enable CMAE to continue to provide high quality education and qualifications to as many Club Management professionals as possible”
Gavin will start the role on 1st July 2024.
