The Club Management Association of Europe (CMAE) is thrilled to announce the successful completion of its Management Development Programme Part 1, held from 11-15 March in the picturesque city of Setubal, Portugal.
The course attracted 24 club management professionals from across Europe, Africa and Asia, all eager to enhance their skills and expertise in the dynamic field of club management.
The MDP Part 1 provided delegates with a comprehensive understanding of the 11 core competencies of club management and attendees gained invaluable insights into areas such as food and beverage, finance, leadership, marketing, health and safety, HR and legislation, equipping them with the tools needed to excel in their roles.
One of the highlights of the programme is the opportunity for participants to exchange experiences and best practices with peers from diverse backgrounds, fostering a rich learning environment conducive to personal and professional growth.
Reflecting on his experience, Paulo Ferreira, a delegate from Portugal, remarked, “MDP1 was a fantastic experience, learning and networking with a fantastic group of people of our industry. The group of presenters was exceptional and the knowledge and tools that I brought will be very useful for our daily basis operation. I went with high expectations but for sure that the week exceeded, it was a mind blowing experience that I recommend to every professional within in our industry”.
Also commenting on her experience was Holly Crompton from England, “What a great week with 30 amazing people! I didn’t think I would get to know all of them so well in such a short space of time. It was helpful to share experiences and hear others journeys. The course content itself was full on but brilliant, I learnt so much throughout the week, which I am excited to take back to my club and put in place. The day trip to Troia was a great break from the classroom and nice to walk part of the course in our break too. Overall, an amazing week, would highly recommend”
