CMAE Management Development Programme kicks off 2022 in style

The Club Managers Association of Europe (CMAE) has kicked off the year in style with two consecutive successful MDP courses being hosted in Stirling, Scotland in the month of February.

MDP part 2 held on the 7-11 February and MDP part 1 held on 14-18 February were both fully attended and marked the start of CMAE’s return to classroom learning following the Covid-19 pandemic.

MDP Part 1 is the first course on the CMAE’s renowned Management Development Programme and is designed to give delegates an excellent overview of each area of the Club Operations.

MDP Part 2 is the second step of the CMAE’s MDP and focuses on Building & Managing the Club Team, with particular focus on strategic and business planning, performance and service standards, and the professional and communicative skills to develop every aspect of both the individual’s performance and that of their club.

The MDP 2 course will see a number of delegates awarded the European Club Management Diploma (CMDip), which is awarded to delegates who successfully deliver the executive case study set during the week of MDP 2, pass the course test and successfully complete a work based assignment where they take on a problem at their club and resolved it by applying the key learnings from the MDP curriculum.

Commenting was CMAE Director of Education Torbjorn Johansson. “It is with great pride we can say that these first two programs of 2022 were extremely successful (according to us and the delegates) and even though it felt like a long time ago we last presented in a classroom, getting back to basics is what we want to do in order for people to be able to network in a safe environment”.

“Now looking forward to 5 MDPs in 5 weeks, the demand for CMAE education is excellent”
