The Club Managers Association of Europe (CMAE) welcomed the 1000th delegate to attend a Management Development Programme on a recent course held in Dubai in May.
44 delegates attended the MDP part 1 and part 2 courses held at Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club and the Park Hyatt Hotel in Dubai where a prize draw took place at a Club Leaders Q&A session during the week to decide which delegate would be awarded the 1000th delegate certificate. The lucky winner was Alistair Brown, Senior Golf Professional at Emirates Golf Club who received £500 off his next MDP.

Alistair was Assistant Professional at Royal Portrush Golf Club in Northern Ireland and moved to Emirates Golf Club in 2008 as a member of the Golf Academy team. He has been the Senior Teaching Professional since 2013.
Speaking of his experience of the MDP 1 course and on receiving the 1000th delegate certificate, Alistair said “CMAE MDP part 1 was such an incredible week. It was great for my personal development to learn from some of the world leading presenters and guest speakers currently working in the golf industry. The course covers all aspects of running any golf facility with cutting edge material I can to immediately implement at my club. During the week I found that I was the 1000th delegate to start my journey on the CMAE program and I am very much looking forward to MDP part 2 and eventually progressing to MDP part 3. My fellow CMAE delegates on the course are now contacts I feel I can call at any time so it was also a great week to network. I would like to thank Emirates Golf Club for investing in me. (An extra curricular thanks goes to Darshan and Mike for teaching me how to change a light bulb and Highland dancing!)”
