The Club Management Association of Europe (CMAE) is pleased to announce Craig Cotterill has been appointed to the position of Commercial Director.
The Commercial Director is a brand new position created in line with the strategic plan that was published in June and will take responsibility for the operational management of the CMAE corporate partnerships and will play a key role in furthering the growth of the association.
Craig comes with a wealth of experience and a proven track record in business development having recently held roles as Head of Commercial Partnerships at the NEC Group and Business Partnerships Manager at the Golf Club Managers Association.
Craig commented “I am delighted to have been appointed Commercial Director of the CMAE just as the association moves into an exciting period in it’s evolution. The opportunity to support Toby the board and the wider team to deliver the CMAE strategy is something I am really looking forward to for many reasons. The diversity of people that engage with the CMAE means that we have the chance to deliver a real difference across various industries. Importantly this diversity gives anyone involved with the association the chance to learn not only from their industry specific peers but also from other club managers in other similar environments. This also applies to our existing commercial partners who have the opportunity to extend their reach across the UK, Europe & M.E.N.A and I really look forward to helping them achieve their goals. It’s really positive times for the CMAE and I can’t wait to get going!!”
Also commenting was CMAE CEO Torbjorn Johansson who said “We had an amazing turnout on the applications for this role from across the globe – we got to meet some very high calibre candidates, but Craig stood out with his impressive experience on doing a big part of what this job is about. He is also keen to learn more which is also what we require for someone stepping into CMAE. We are excited to see Craig joining the Team and adding valuable experience for us.”
Craig will start his position on the 1st November 2022.
