Commenting on the selections ECEF’s CEO Nigel Cartwright said “It has been a real pleasure to read the impressive applications with their enthusiasm for education, their life experiences and their wide range of ambitions. Through Joe Perdue’s memory, here at ECEF, we have developed a respected bursary programme for all Club Managers and senior staff”

I am looking forward to immersing myself in everything the conference has to offer and the opportunity to meet other managers from around the globe.”
Richard Johnstone said “I am delighted to have been chosen from all applications to receive the Joe Purdue Bursary Award for 2019. The award will provide me with the opportunity to start my journey towards the Club Management Diploma by attending MDP1 course in January 2020. The Bursary Award towards CMAE education will not only help me grow as a manager but will also be of great benefit to my Golf Club – Nairn Dunbar Golf Links”
Damien Connolly said “I am very honoured to be the recipient of the Joe Purdue Part-Bursary Award for 2019 and I would like to thank all involved. This generosity has allowed me to be one step closer to achieving my education goals and I’m looking forward to sharing this new knowledge with clubs, volunteers, staff and fellow tribe members in future. Thank you for enabling this opportunity.”
Simon Fowler commented “I am delighted to have been awarded the MDP 3 bursary for 2019.
I have attended MDP1,2 and MDP Food and beverage and gained my Diploma. The MDP educational pathway is exceptional. It has opened my eyes to the content and detail available to learn. The MDP 3 Leadership and Strategy in Prague will keep me on track towards my goal of achieving my CCM qualification.”
Andy Danewid was also thrilled he won the bursary as he hopes it will encourage more Swedish Club Managers to sign up for the excellent MDP courses.
