Located just outside Barcelona, the Club enjoys an exceptional natural environment and holds internationally recognized sustainability certifications. It has hosted the Spanish Open on numerous occasions and most recently welcomed the Estrella Damm Catalunya Championship on the DP World Tour.
Renowned for its exclusive atmosphere, world-class facilities, and commitment to excellence and innovation, the Club is now seeking an Operations Director to play a key strategic role in ensuring that all services and facilities consistently operate at the highest standards.
Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Operations Director will be fully responsible for the operational management of the Club House and all supporting departments that contribute to the daily experience of members, guests and visitors.
The primary objective of the role is to ensure operational excellence through effective team leadership, implementation of operational processes and service standards, facility management, and continuous improvement across all Club services.
This is a strategic leadership position within the organisation, acting as the General Manager’s key operational partner and contributing actively to the continued development and evolution of the Club.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management
- Lead the day-to-day operations of the Club House, facilities and member services.
- Ensure an outstanding experience for members, guests and visitors.
- Oversee the efficient operation of all operational departments.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Team Leadership
Lead, develop and motivate a multidisciplinary team of approximately 45 professionals, including:
- Reception
- Locker Rooms
- Caddie Master
- Maintenance
- Housekeeping
- Food & Beverage
- General Services
Promote a culture of excellence, accountability and member-focused service throughout the organisation.
Operational Excellence
- Develop and implement operational procedures and protocols.
- Ensure operational processes are consistently executed.
- Establish and maintain service quality standards.
- Define, monitor and report operational KPIs and quality metrics.
- Ensure compliance with all operational procedures.
Facilities Management
- Plan and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programmes.
- Coordinate external suppliers and contractors.
- Supervise facility improvement projects and capital investments.
- Ensure the Club’s facilities remain in outstanding condition at all times.
Member Experience
- Maintain a visible presence throughout the Club.
- Build strong relationships with members and visitors.
- Handle operational incidents promptly and effectively.
- Resolve complaints with professionalism and efficiency.
- Act as a brand ambassador for the Club.
Cross-Functional Coordination
Work closely with:
- General Management
- Sports Director
- Operational Coordinators
- Maintenance Teams
- External Service Providers
Ensure effective communication and collaboration across all operational areas.
Objectives During the First 12 Months
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Professionalise the Club’s daily operations.
- Implement standardised operational procedures.
- Introduce management dashboards and operational KPIs.
- Improve member and visitor satisfaction.
- Strengthen coordination between departments.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Efficiently execute facility investment and improvement projects.
Candidate Profile
We are seeking an experienced operations executive with a strong track record of leading customer-focused organisations where service excellence is a key competitive advantage.
Professional Experience
- Minimum of 5–7 years’ experience in senior operational leadership positions.
- Proven experience managing large, multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong background in organisations recognised for exceptional customer service and operational excellence.
- Experience in environments comparable to Real Club de Golf El Prat will be highly valued.
Previous experience in one or more of the following sectors is particularly desirable:
- Golf clubs
- Five-star hotels
- Luxury resorts
- Private members’ clubs
- Premium sports facilities
- High-end hospitality or restaurant groups
International experience will be considered a significant advantage.
