The Role
This is a diverse, fast-paced, and highly rewarding role sitting directly at the heart of the Club’s daily operations. You will act as the primary face and voice for our members, executing membership administration while seamlessly coordinating golf bookings, club opens, and functions. Working in tandem with the General Manager and the wider department heads, you will ensure a warm, knowledgeable welcome and a flawless operational standard across the board.
Key Responsibilities:
- Membership Administration: Accurately manage all membership information in Intelligent Golf (IG). Supervise the annual renewal process, welcome new joiners, prepare onboarding packs, and promptly follow up on new enquiries.
- Golf & Event Coordination: Oversee and maintain the integrity of golf booking systems. Actively update IG with tournament parameters, course conditions, and event entries. Collate accurate master lists and numbers for Club Opens, functions, and away matches.
- Customer Relations & Communication: Serve as the primary operator of the shared bookings inbox and filter phone lines. Manage member-facing web content and drive engagement across the Club’s official social media accounts.
- Office Administration: Support the General Manager in compiling materials for committee and company AGMs, oversee locker/trolley inventory ledgers, coordinate postage, and maintain general club documentation archives.
About You (Requirements)
- An Active, Knowledgeable Golfer. You must possess a comprehensive, practical understanding of the game of golf, its formats (Stablefords, Medals, Matchplays), and Club culture. This allows you to converse naturally and authoritatively with members, visitors, and match managers.
- Technical Proficiency: Prior experience using club software suites (ideally Intelligent Golf) alongside Microsoft Office Suite is highly advantageous.
- Administrative Excellence: Proven track record in customer service, office coordination, or hospitality administration. Excellent organisational skill is a must to balance shifting priorities.
- Interpersonal Style: A friendly, polished, and accessible demeanour. You remain calm, adaptable, and highly resilient under pressure.
