MDP 1 – Rome

CMAE, Associazione Italiana Tecnici di Golf  (AITG) and Italian PGA who are joint alliance partners of CMAE,  have set a date for a 3rd Management Development Programme on Club Management, Part 1, to take place in Rome this Autumn.

The MDP Part 1 will take place at the Terre dei Consoli Club from Monday 7th to Friday 11th November 2016.and will focus on Club Operations and the 10 core competencies of the modern club manager.
The 5 day residential course will see leading club industry experts from the Club Industry deliver education sessions on Management, Leadership, Food and Beverage Operations, Club Governance, Membership Marketing, Facilities Management and all of the statutory compliance required to run a successful club.

CMAE’s Director of Education Michael Braidwood said of the programme “ we are delighted to be working with AITG again in bringing important executive club education back to Italy. Our previous two programmes in Italy in 2014 and 2015 were a tremendous success and resulted in 12 of the delegates going on to achieve the Club Management Diploma”.

A Club Management Diploma is available to all CMAE delegates who attend the MDP 1 and MDP 2 courses, then pass the multiple choice exam on the 10 core competencies of a modern club manager, successfully fulfil the obligations of the group executive case study, including a presentation to a ‘Board’ on their findings and finally submitting and passing a work based assignment of 1,200 – 2,000 words on a situation at their club that they have resolved using the strategic management tools learnt during the two programmes.

Commenting on the forthcoming course, AITG’s Secretary Marco Antonangeli said, “we are excited about bringing club executive education back to Rome. It is important to drive club management education here. We are always looking at ways in which we can enrich the member experience at our clubs. Furthermore, with the 2022 Ryder Cup coming to Italy, all eyes will be on our clubs, so it is important we invest in education for their future prosperity.
