James Burns CCM is the General Manager of Milltown Golf Club in Dublin. He is responsible for delivering a high-quality experience to a large membership at one of Ireland’s premier, exclusive member Clubs.
His professional background is in hospitality management and throughout his career he has focused on developing his skills through education. A Hospitality Management Degree from the Ulster University, a Certificate in Club Management (IGCMA) and an Executive Management Development in Tourism Diploma (Cornell University). In 2012 he earned his Certified Club Manager (CCM) designation and to date he acknowledges this as his greatest professional achievement.
James’s previous experience have seen him hold Senior Operations Manager positions with Ramada Plaza Hotels, prior to that he held F&B management positions at Greystones Golf Club, Druids Glen and Irish Hotels Trainee Management programs.
Currently James is Education Policy Board Chairman and Vice President for the Club Managers Association of Europe. (CMAE)
