Awards success for CMAE members

Roehampton Club, in South West London, has retained the award of UK Sports Club of the Year at the 2018 Club Mirror Awards.

Roehampton Club, in South West London, has retained the award of UK Sports Club of the Year at the 2018 Club Mirror Awards. The awards ceremony, being in its 50th year, was streamed live across social media at the end of November in Doncaster and Roehampton won the coveted award for the second year running.

Also picking up the award for Tennis Club of the year was The Northern Lawn Tennis Club in Manchester, who’s CEO Jamie White CMDip was at the award ceremony to collect the award. 

Tristan McIllroy (CMDip) and Ashley Allpress collect the award from Mark Lawrenson. Jamie White (CMDip) ,also pictured, collected Tennis Club of the year for The Northern TC. Good night for CMAE members.

Roehampton Club also won Club Refurbishment of the Year 2018 for its Health Club redevelopment which was completed in January 2018. This involved the refurbishment of the Outdoor Pool, Juice Bar, Gym and two new Studios as attached.

Marc Newey, CEO, CCM CCE, commented “We are particularly proud to win both awards and must thank the main contractor Chase Construction Ltd, plus David Morley Architects and Sparc Studios who led on our Health Club improvement scheme. To be recognised as London’s premier Multi Sports Club once more is a great honour.”
