CMAE is delighted to announce that this year’s Food and Beverage Management Development Programme will be held in Marbella, Spain from 21st – 25th November in conjunction with Jonas Software.

The course is highly relevant to all club managers, as it provides an insight into the delivery of food and beverage services within successful clubhouse operations. We will take an in depth look at F & B operations from a management and control perspective. Delegates will study trends in menu and service delivery, as well as evolving legal requirements. Particular attention will be paid to the creation of successful, unique or themed events and how best to plan their marketing. The course will also enable managers to create and deliver appropriate training sessions for clubhouse staff, to ensure that service excellence is the norm at their club.

Delegates will also receive “hands on” kitchen experience at the world class Les Roches Hospitality School and spend time with Valderrama’s General Manager Javier Reviriego who will host a club tour at the world renowned Valderrama Golf Club and present to the delegates on the delivery of exceptionally high hospitality standards.

CMAE’s Education Policy Board Chair, James Burns, CCM, has developed the MDP – Food and Beverage Course, together with Jason Koenigsfeld, Ph.D, CHE, Senior Vice President Professional Development, Club Managers Association of America (CMAA).
James commends this programme thus:

“Following the successful running of two MDP F&Bs in Dublin we are delighted to be bringing the course for a first time to Spain. This intensive week gives the club industry professional all the ingredients they need in order to develop a successful food and beverage operation back at their clubs. Today our members are much more discerning when it comes to food and beverage and if a club does not get this component right it can be very detrimental to the future success of their club. Our course presenters can help delegates ensure this success.”

The impressive presenter line up includes Steven Brown (Inn-Formation), Faculty members of Les Roches Hospitality School, Sharron Ruttledge (Inn-Formation), Javier Reviriego Valderrama Golf Club, CMAE’s Michael Braidwood, CCM, and Peter Kirk (Jonas).

The course is being held at the H10 Andalucian Palace Hotel, Les Roches in Marbella and Valderrama Golf Club in Sotogrande , Cadiz

The cost of the course is £1,100 + VAT (£1,205+ VAT for non CMAE members), inclusive of 4 nights half board accommodation and a Delegates Course Dinner on the Thursday night.
