The Club Managers Association of Europe (CMAE) and the Golf Union of Wales have joined forces to host a Management Development Programme (MDP) part 1 course for club industry professionals in Wales this November.
The course will take place at The Vale Resort in Cardiff from the 6th – 10th November 2017 and will see leading club industry experts deliver education sessions on the 10 core competencies of modern club management.
The Management Development Programme was launched in 2011 and has been held successfully in England, Scotland, Ireland, Spain, France, Italy and Dubai attracting over 1000 delegates from across Europe and the Middle East.
MDP part 1 is the first of 5 club management courses on the CMAE’s education pathway all designed to help Club Industry Supervisors and Managers become more informed, perform better at their jobs and help them progress on their career path in Club Management and provides the stepping stones to gaining the Club Management Diploma (CMDip) and Certified Club Manager (CCM) certifications.
Dan Farmer, Club Services and Coach Education Manager at Golf Union Wales said “The Golf Union of Wales are delighted to be working with the CMAE in bringing Management Development Programme 1 to Wales. It has long been our goal to offer the structured education programme to our workforce given the positive impact demonstrated by those clubs and delegates who have attended throughout Scotland and Wales. We look forward to welcoming the CMAE and delegates to the Vale Resort later this year”.
