The R&A and ECEF have awarded bursaries to four women to attend CMAE’s MDP1 course to start on CMAE’s Club Management Education pathway and boost their career development.
Linda Ratilainen, Service Manger at Tapiola Golf Oy in Finland, Chiara Fantinati at Albarella Golf Links in Italy, Amber Cockram, Sales, Marketing and Social Events Manager at Moor Park Golf Club in England and Joanne Wilson, General Manager at Lenzie Golf Club in Scotland were all recipients of the bursary.
Jackie Davidson, Assistant Director Golf Development at The R&A commented, “In 2018 The R&A launched the Women in Golf Charter to create a more inclusive culture within the sport. As part of this, The R&A is committed to supporting women, working in golf, on their personal and professional development journey.
“We are delighted to have partnered with the ECEF to support this bursary programme and congratulate the four very deserving recipients. We hope that Linda, Amber, Chiara and Joanne, enjoy this development opportunity and continue to thrive in their careers.”
Marc Newey, ECEF CEO said “Choosing four recipients from the batch of excellent applications we received was difficult. The R&A must be thanked for their commitment to funding the bursaries for 2021 and excitingly also for 2022.”
