CMAE goes Spanish

The Club Managers Association of Europe recently staged a Management Development programme Part 1 for a group of Spanish club industry professionals. The programme was hosted by the Club Managers Spain and took place at the World renowned Les Roches International School of Hotel Management in Marbella.

The Club Managers Association of Europe recently staged a Management Development programme Part 1 for a group of Spanish club industry professionals.

The programme was hosted by the Club Managers Spain and took place at the World renowned Les Roches International School of Hotel Management in Marbella.

The programme covered the 10 core competencies of modern club management and was delivered by leading Les Roches lecturers Vera Champagne, Gilda Peyregne, Carla Mazzeo, Jean Pierre Gonzales Susana Garrido and Alvaro Hidalgo along with experts from the Golf Academy operation business, Ricardo Jimenez, Leading Agronomist Carlos Vila, Legal expert Angel Monedero, whilst Facilities management was delivered by UK based presenter Nigel Cartwright and Club Governance was delivered by the Scottish Golf Unions / Scottish Ladies Golf Association Development Manager Kevin Fish.

The President of the Club Managers Spain and event host Daniel Asis said “this programme is essential for the on going development of the club business in Spain. The more educated our members are the healthier the industry will be. My thanks goes our the delegates for their positive contribution during the week and to our excellent presenters”

The MDP pathway was originally developed by the Club Managers Association of America and thanks to their vision and generosity, has been given to CMAE who have adapted the materials for the European Golf, Sports and City Club Markets.
