The CMAE hosted the first ever Management Development Programme on Sport & Recreation in London on 1-5 August.
The brand new MDP introduced this year is one of the three speciality courses on the MDP pathway and focuses on giving delegates a wider view of sports, fitness, recreation and wellness operations and focuses on areas within racket sports, aquatics and junior programming as well as recreational sports and also listen to the trends within wellness and fitness.
Delegates on the course enjoyed visits to some of the top sports clubs and facilities including Roehampton Club, the All England Lawn Tennis Club, RAC Club, The National Tennis Centre, Queens Club and Hurlingham Club.
Commenting was Golf Saudi’s Steven Troup who was a delegate on the course. “MDP Sport and Recreation is an absolute must attend. Through a wide variety of diverse, world class clubs, the presenters not only introduce and showcase ideas on how to engage the wider family population, but create the opportunity to challenge managers to look at things activities outside of their core club offering”
The MDP course will be repeated in 2023 and delegates can express their interest in attending by emailing [email protected]
