More than 30 people took to the sea for the Royal Temple Yacht Club’s (England) annual free open day.
Every year the club runs a free session for prospective members to test their sea legs.

Visitors were taken out off the coast of Broadstairs to watch Broadstairs Sailing Club racing in a regatta.
Many people who took part in the day signed up to take part in future events at the club.
Royal Temple Yacht Club’s next big event is Ramsgate Week, which takes place from August 12 to August 17. The competition attracts sailors from across the UK and Europe.
For this year’s regatta, the club has been working with businesses in the town to create attractions and events to encourage visitors and competitors to explore the shore-side experience.
The Club Managers Association of Europe encourages all sailing and yacht clubs to create and administrate an open day for prospective members.
