CMAE Welcome New Board Members Following Annual General Meeting

The Club Management Association of Europe (CMAE) have welcomed new board appointments following their Annual General Meeting held on 26 October at The Old Course Hotel in St Andrews, Scotland.

The AGM marked a transition in leadership for CMAE, with Michael Newland CCM, Secretary of The Berkshire, taking on the role of President. He succeeds Alberto Iglesias CCM, who steps down after two years in the role of presidency, having led the Association through an important period of growth.

Chris May CCM, CEO of Dubai Golf, has been elected Vice-President, bringing extensive experience in club operations and leadership to the role.

CMAE also welcomes new and returning members to its Board. Nathanael Pietrzak CCM of UGOLF International, France, has been elected for a second term, continuing his contribution to the Association’s work. Joining the Board also are Staffan Tuomolin CCM CCE of Sarfvik Golf Club, Finland, and David Fernandes of Boavista Golf & Spa Resort, Portugal.

The AGM also marked the conclusion of Cristian Fiora CCM’s full tenure on the CMAE Board. The Association thanks both Cristian and Alberto for their commitment, leadership and contribution to the development of CMAE and its mission to advance professional club management.

Michael Newland, CMAE President, said:

“I am honoured to take on the role of President of CMAE and to build on the strong foundations established by Alberto and previous Board members. CMAE plays a vital role in supporting club management professionals through education, professional development and a strong international network. I look forward to working with the Board, our members and partners to continue strengthening the Association and ensuring we deliver meaningful value to club managers.”
