CMAE and Centenary Tennis Clubs Partnership Aims to Elevate Tennis Club Leadership Across Europe

The Club Management Association of Europe (CMAE) is delighted to announce that we have become the Preferred Education Partner of the Centenary Tennis Clubs Association.

The Preferred Education Partner (PEP) programme is designed to enrich the membership experience for partner organisations by providing access to CMAE’s market-leading Business Management Institute (BMI) pathway.

As part of the partnership, members of the Centenary Tennis Clubs Association will now be able to attend BMI courses at a preferred delegate rate, giving greater access to one of the most respected professional development programmes in global club management.

The Association of Centenary Tennis Clubs (CTC) is an umbrella organisation representing tennis clubs that are more than 100 years old, including some of the most prestigious and historic clubs in the sport. Initially founded by eight clubs as a pan-European association, the CTC has evolved into a truly global organisation recognised by the International Tennis Federation (ITF). In 2026, the Association comprises ninety-eight affiliated clubs across twenty-nine countries and four continents.

The CMAE’s BMI pathway is a globally recognised education programme for club management professionals and provides the pathway towards achieving the prestigious Certified Club Manager (CCM) designation.

BMI is a series of educational courses focused on the core competencies of club management. The programme is designed not only for those currently working as club general managers, club secretaries, and senior leaders within sports, city, and business clubs, but also for aspiring professionals preparing for leadership roles in the industry.

Commenting on the partnership, CMAE Chief Executive Officer Torbjorn Johansson said:

“We are delighted to become the Preferred Education Partner of the Centenary Tennis Clubs. This partnership reflects our shared commitment to professional development and leadership excellence within the club industry. We look forward to supporting members of the Association on their educational journey through the BMI pathway and towards CCM certification.”

CTC President, Mr. Jordi Cambra added:

“Centenary Tennis Clubs share history, values, and common challenges. We also believe in the added value of sharing knowledge among the clubs. We strongly believe that collaboration with The Club Management Association of Europe will represent a unique opportunity for growth in this specific area.”

The CMAE continues to expand its network of Preferred Education Partners across Europe and internationally, supporting club industry professionals through world-class education, networking, and certification opportunities.
