The Club Management Association of Europe (CMAE) is further enhancing its professional development pathway, reinforcing its alignment with the global gold standard in Club Management education: the internationally recognised Certified Club Manager (CCM) qualification. As part of this strategic development, during 2026, the Management Development Programme (MDP) will transition into the Business Management Institute (BMI), aligning CMAE programme naming with the global family. During this transition year, the programme will be referred to as MDP/BMI, before fully becoming BMI, consistent with all regions worldwide.
The Club Management Association of Europe (CMAE) has announced an exciting expansion of its renowned Business Management Institute (MDP/BMI), introducing brand new host venues across Europe for the 2026/27 calendar.
Recognised as the leading education pathway for club industry professionals, the CMAE’s MDP/BMI continues to evolve to meet the growing demand for high-quality, accessible professional development. The programme serves as a cornerstone for those pursuing the globally respected Certified Club Manager (CCM) designation.
For the upcoming cycle, CMAE will deliver its flagship courses in three dynamic and strategically selected locations:
- MDP/BMI 3: Strategy & Leadership will take place in Berlin, Germany, from 11–15 January 2027, offering senior leaders an immersive environment to refine strategic thinking and leadership excellence.
- MDP/BMI 1: Club Operations will be hosted in Liverpool, UK, from 14–18 September 2026, providing foundational knowledge for those entering or progressing within club management.
- A second MDP/BMI 1: Club Operations session will be held in Alicante, Spain, from 2–6 November 2026, expanding accessibility for professionals across Southern Europe.
By introducing new venues, CMAE aims to broaden participation and provide greater flexibility for industry professionals seeking to advance their careers through structured, high-impact learning experiences.
As the club management profession continues to evolve, the CMAE’s Business Management Institute remains at the forefront—equipping leaders with the knowledge, skills, and global perspective needed to succeed in an increasingly competitive landscape.
