CMAE Announces Dates for MDP Food & Beverage Management in 2026

The Club Management Association of Europe (CMAE) is delighted to announce the return of its highly regarded Management Development Programme (MDP) in Food & Beverage Management, taking place in Montreux from 13–17 April 2026.

This immersive programme is a key step on the MDP pathway and is specifically designed to deepen delegates’ understanding of food and beverage operations in the club environment. The aim is to help club managers enhance the overall hospitality experience at their clubs by equipping them with the tools to raise service standards, work effectively with their teams or contract caterers, improve operational efficiency, and ultimately drive profitability.

Relevant to clubs of all sizes and types, this course offers a comprehensive look at food and beverage management from a strategic and operational perspective. It covers everything from cost control and menu design to legal compliance, staff training, and marketing. Particular emphasis is placed on the creation and execution of unique events that add value to the member experience.

A standout feature of the 2026 programme is a dedicated day spent at the prestigious Glion Hospitality School, one of the world’s leading institutions in hospitality education. This visit will offer delegates valuable hands-on experience in a professional kitchen environment. Participants will gain practical insights into kitchen operations, food preparation, and plate presentation, all while gaining a deeper appreciation of the pressures and standards required behind the scenes to deliver exceptional service.

“This programme is a must for any club manager seeking to elevate their club’s food and beverage experience,” said CMAE’s Director of Education Michael McCormack CCM. “With expert-led sessions, real-world case studies, and practical training at Glion, it delivers an invaluable mix of strategy and application.”
