Job Description: Golf Services Manager

Core Responsibilities:

  • Golf Operations: Oversee and coordinate all aspects of daily operations and golf reception including tee time bookings, player services, and course liaison.
  • Team & Budget Leadership: Manage golf operations staff, build rotas, uphold standards, and control departmental budgets.
  • Customer Experience: Deliver a warm, professional, and high-quality service to all members and visitors.
  • Club Representation: Act as a visible and proactive ambassador for the club and its values.
  • Competition and Event Support: Oversee the planning, delivery and hosting of member competitions, golf days, and other events.
  • Marketing & Promotion: Support campaigns to develop retail and custom fitting service and revenue.
  • Commercial Growth: Maximise income through, tee sheet management, retail, and service delivery.

Pro Shop Refurbishment – Autumn 2025

The successful candidate will play a key role in the planning and delivery of a comprehensive Pro Shop refurbishment, ensuring the new retail and reception space reflect the club’s ambition to be a leading golf destination in Surrey. You will influence brand partnerships, merchandising, and the integration of custom fitting and retail technologies alongside our Academy and coaching colleagues.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Retail Management: Lead shop operations, including stock selection, visual merchandising, and sales performance.
  • Custom Fit & Repairs: Deliver high-quality club fitting and repair services as part of the shop offering.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • PGA Membership desirable but not essential if suitable experience can be demonstrated.
  • Proven leadership and team management experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of golf operations, customer service, competition and event delivery.
  • Strong commercial and retail acumen.
  • Experience with golf retail systems and golf operating systems (Intelligent Golf) is required.
