CMAE is pleased to announce that Rhys Beecher has achieved the globally recognised Certified Club Manager (CCM) having recently passed the exam.
Rhys is currently the Director of Golf at Education City Golf Club in Qatar. He has been at the facility for five years and has been involved in the development of the project from desert to grass! Previously he was based in Dubai at The Address Montgomerie in different positions through from Academy Director to Assistant Golf Professional over a ten year period.

Rhys joined CMAE’s education pathway in 2016 and over the last four years attended four of the five Management Development Programmes (MDP) and attended the Club Managers Association of America (CMAA) World Conference in order to be eligible to sit the CCM exam.
Rhys now joins an elite band of 55 Club Industry professionals in Europe and the Middle East who have achieved CCM status.
In addition to this Rhys is the third Certified Club Manager to be currently based at the Education City Golf Club, joining General Manager Michael Braidwood CCM and Head Professional Anthony Caira CCM.
Commenting on his success Rhys said “The MDP pathway has been an enlightening and rewarding journey, culminating in a rather tough exam! Thought provoking at every stage and full of self-reflection. I am thrilled to have achieved the CCM accreditation, which has allowed me to contemplate what I have gained. A greater depth and breadth of knowledge from the various MDP programs; and critically a tribe of like-minded managers/industry professionals whom I would comfortably call on for support”.
Michael Braidwood CCM said “As chair of the Education Policy committee I am delighted to see two new CCMs. On a personal level I am especially pleased for Rhys, he has been a work colleague for the last 2 and half years and I have seen the amount of work he has put into his CMAE studies in order to achieve the CCM designation, thoroughly deserved.”
