CMAE member Michael Holley has joined Glenbervie Golf Club as the new General Manager.

Newly appointed Holley was formerly the Club Manager at Braemar Golf Club before taking the post of General Manager at Torrance Park Golf Club for over two years. He also has previous career history in retail and accounting.

Glenbervie Golf Club is an exceptional James Braid designed parkland golf course in Central Scotland. Michael took up his new role at Glenbervie on the 22nd April.

Michael has attended three of the CMAE Management Development Programmes – MDP 1, MDP 2 and MDP Food & Beverage Management and has gained the Club Management Diploma award recognized across Europe and has recently returned from attending his first CMAA World Conference.

Commenting on his new role Michael said “When making the decision to change careers and move into the Golf Management industry the education pathway on offer played a big part in that decision. I am delighted to have gained the Diploma award and I look forward to continuing to work towards the CCM accreditation over the coming years.

The learning and support I have gained from the ‘Tribe’ that being part of the CMAE MDP pathway has allowed me to build has been invaluable and I can’t thank them enough.

I am thrilled to have been appointed General Manager at Glenbervie Golf Club. It’s an exciting time to be joining the club and I am very much looking forward to working with the Board and Staff to provide the Members and Visitors the Top-Class Facility that they have come to expect.”.
