E-Learning Courses

In the autumn of 2010, the CMAE launched the first of a series of six-week online courses in club management, which are open to all club managers to take, from the comfort of their home or office. These e-learning programmes are managed for the CMAE and our partners the European Golf Course owners Association (EGCOA) by Hotelschool The Hague, one of the world’s leading hospitality schools.

Learners will be asked to devote at least 5/6 hours a week to coursework, and during the six-weeks, they will be provided with reading material, required to submit assignments and contribute to virtual discussions on relevant topics with the Course Tutor and fellow learners.

The first courses held in 2011 was in the areas of Membership, Marketing and Food & Beverage Management for Clubs. For further information about this course, please download the E-Learning Guide Book which contains details of costs and how to register for either of the two courses above.

The other courses (currently under development) are:

  • Governance and Leadership in Clubs
  • Golf, Sports and Leisure Club Management
  • Finance and Regulation for Clubs

The CMAE welcomes and encourages every opportunity for club managers to learn more about their profession and be able to fulfill their duties to the very best of their ability.
