County Louth Golf Club, Baltray, is located on Ireland’s east coast adjacent to the historic town of Drogheda.
Established in 1892, County Louth is a member owned club with over 1000 members. The Club has twice played host to the Irish Open, most notably won by Shane Lowry as an amateur and is home to the East of Ireland Championship. The links consistently ranks amongst the best in Ireland and is a highly sought after destination for visiting golfers.
The Club seeks to appoint a General Manager who will guide the senior leadership in delivering a world class golfing experience for members, guests and visitors. Reporting to the Chairman and the Management Committee this individual will be a seasoned leader in developing a coherent culture with clarity, vision, values and practices that align with the broader strategic vision and goals of the club. The successful candidate will foster an inclusive environment conducive to maximising all staff member capabilities and supporting operational excellence, member engagement and continuous improvement across all aspects of the member guest experience.
The key responsibilities will include:
- Overall management of the Club and its facilities
- Day to day delivery of all aspects of member and visitor golf
- Developing and implementing a world class customer service philosophy
- Maintaining and enhancing the Club’s image and brand within the world of golf
The successful individual will have excellent management skills, with the ability to lead an experienced multi-disciplined team. The ideal candidate will have experience in developing and maintaining key internal and external relationships within a similar membership environment.
