Buckingham Golf Club is a private members club on the outskirts of the market town of Buckingham. Established in 1914, this 18-hole parkland golf course and clubhouse have become synonymous with exceptional golfing experiences.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of the Club and will work closely with the Board, Committees, Club Professional and the management team to contribute to the Club’s long-term strategy and vision. You will be dedicated to continuously enhancing club operations and elevating the member experience.
As General Manager, you will execute planned capital projects and oversee day-to-day operations across all departments. You will be a proven leader who can inspire your team and use initiative to obtain the best outcomes.
Applicants should possess and be able to demonstrate the following attributes:
Essential
- Proven track record in managing a golf club or equivalent organisation
- Ability to create and communicate a strategic vision for the Club
- Ambitious leader with an inclusive management style
- Commitment to managing, developing, motivating and mentoring all staff
- Outstanding ability to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders
- Sound financial understanding of managing and growing revenue
- Effective written, oral, organisation and time management skills.
Desirable
- GCMA/CMAE/PGA qualifications would be an advantage
- Appreciation of the ethos of a private members’ club.
