The Role
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this position is responsible for the delivery of a ‘best in class’ golf experience to members and guests, respecting the tradition of the game whilst appreciating a modern view of golf, adapting programs to a broad and inclusive membership base, ranging from competitions to social play.

Responsibilities includes:
- Delivering a clear vision for the Golf Department, aligned with the Clubs strategic objectives
- Drive innovation and excellence for the Club’s golf programs
- Oversee daily operations including tee times, competitions, annual calendar of events,
- Develop an innovative retail strategy and review ordering, stock control and merchandising
- Working closely with the Mens and Women’s Captains support and attend sub-committee meetings ensuring effectiveness and strong governance.
- Inspire, lead, manage and mentor a team of staff including operations, administration, retail and Golf Professionals.
- Influence and positively manage the development of member focussed and service-oriented culture which values and invests in the personal development of our team.
- Maintain and develop the Club’s relationship within the industry including with other Clubs, Golf Australia, the PGA, GMA and suppliers.
Essentials
- An exceptional leader, ideally a PGA professional, with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in managing, leading and developing in a similar environment.
- Ability to build and encourage strong working relationships with team members, peers, managers and members
- Ability to inspire and motivate the team to demonstrate the Club values and elevate the service experience for members to new heights.
- Possess a high level of business ethics and integrity.
- Solution focussed and ability to deliver to deadlines.
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills
