Director of Food & Beverage, Lyford Cay Club

Position Overview: Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Director of Food & Beverage is responsible for the overall operation of the Food and Beverage Department which entails the Club’s six dining outlets, eight bars and refreshment venues, in-room dining, and banquet and group meetings, with department revenues of $5 million. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to coordinating the purchase of all beverages and operating supplies, maintaining approved food and labor costs and achieving targeted results, and leading a total team of 60 including an Assistant Director of Food & Beverage. The Director of Food & Beverage will develop departmental goals, strategies and procedures, oversee a revitalized service training program, and will look forward to introducing creative ideas in dining and beverage programming. Overall, and through excellent leadership, this key position ensures the quality of product and level of service result in a superb member and guest experience.

Candidate Profile: The successful candidate must be sharp, energetic, service oriented, a problem-solver, and possess a personality that successfully navigates and nurtures relationships at all levels within the organization as well as with the sophisticated and international membership. A minimum of five years of leadership experience in luxury hospitality environments overseeing fine Food and Beverage operations and a strong knowledge of cuisine, wine, beverage, and service is required. The Director of Food & Beverage will lead by example, collaborate well with other department heads on the team, and maintain a high profile and visible presence within the Club. Prior experience working with committees in a private club setting or similar is highly desired.
