Assistant General Manager, West Hill Golf Club

The role of Assistant General Manager offers a rare & unique opportunity for an energetic and outgoing individual to take up a leadership role at the heart of one of the UK’s premier, Top 100, Surrey heathland golf clubs.  

The role supports the Club Secretary with the day-to-day operations at the Club and deputises in their absence.  The successful candidate will be involved in setting up and running competitions for all sections of the Club as well as major events at the Club including the Father & Son Tournament. They will also look after all society and function business and liaise closely with the other key departments in the Club.

The Candidate:

The candidate should have a minimum of 5 years management experience gained in the golfing industry. They must possess a comprehensive knowledge of the game of golf, it’s competitive formats and traditions within a private members club.   We are looking for someone with drive, enthusiasm and passion willing to work flexible hours including weekends.

Essential

  • Organised and punctual
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent IT skills including Word, Excel, and other Microsoft packages
  • Strong Social Media Knowledge
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of Golf

Desirable

  • Experience of private members’ clubs
  • Knowledge of membership database packages
  • Personal drive and enthusiasm to improve the performance of the Club.

Remuneration Package:

A competitive salary and benefits package commensurate with the experience and skills of the applicant is on offer. There is no Club accommodation available with this role.
