Unique amongst golf courses in the United Kingdom, Knole Park Golf Club is located within 1000 acres of outstanding parkland. This picturesque site of special scientific interest undulates through the Knole Estate in Sevenoaks, Kent.  

Knole Park is a member’s club that respects its traditions and history with a forward-thinking approach. The club is ranked in the top 100 courses in England and generally regarded as the best inland course in Kent.  After a period of significant investment at the club they are looking for an outstanding candidate who is keen to further their career, as the Club approach their centenary next year.

Overview of Role

The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day operations at the club and enhance the overall member and guest experience. Good people management and communication skills are essential as you will be the first point of contact for both current, future members and guests.  You will need to build excellent relationships with the various committees and captains as you help manage the Club diary and fixtures.   A key part of the job will be managing all aspects of the intelligent golf system from member registration and handicaps, through to tee time and revenue management.

It is essential that candidates can demonstrate the ability to drive sales and income through marketing, PR and social media activity around green fee, golf society and events income at the Club.  You should be able to demonstrate financial literacy particularly in managing multiple revenue and budget lines.

The right candidate will be well versed in communicating with members through newsletters, emails, and active participation in various committees, strong office skills and the ability to prioritise workloads are key to the role.  The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate management experience, teamworking skills and decision making. In the absence of the Club Secretary, you will be expected to deputise and lead the team in a professional manner and in line with the Clubs strategy.
