Overview of Role:

The Assistant Club Secretary is a pivotal role at our golf club, responsible for overseeing day-to-day clubhouse operations to elevate the overall experience for both members and our guests.

Possessing strong people management and communication skills is paramount, this role serves as the primary point of contact for members, building and nurturing relationships with all stakeholders of the Club is a priority.

You will play a key role in managing the clubhouse operation having an oversight of delivery of food and beverages services. The successful candidate will showcase a proven ability of facilities management in a hospitality environment. Financial literacy is desired for effective management of multiple revenue streams and budget lines, the ideal candidate will bring superior office and administrative skills. In the absence of the Club Secretary you will deputise, leading the team professionally and in alignment with the Club’s strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day clubhouse operations.
  • Build and maintain relationships with committees, captains, and members.
  • Responsibility for property repairs, maintenance and standards of presentation.
  • Manage the CRM system (ClubV1) for member-related functions and revenue management.
  • Demonstrate financial literacy in managing multiple revenue streams and budgets
  • Working closely with the Club Secretary, providing leadership, promoting teamwork, and effective decision-making.
  • Deputise in the absence of the Club Secretary.
  • Have a visible and supportive presence in the Clubhouse for our colleagues and members.

About You:

  • Live or be willing to relocate within 30 minutes of Twickenham.
  • Previous experience working in a members Golf Club environment.
  • Be ambitions to progress your career.
  • Play golf and have enthusiasm for the Golf Club industry.
